The school’s football teams were in action on Friday, 13 March 2026, playing two away matches against strong opponents under challenging weather conditions.
The Under-18 boys team faced Gundvwini High School at Zakhele Sports Ground in Manzini at 12:00 noon. The match was played in rainy weather, making the field difficult to play on. Despite the team’s efforts and determination, Gundvwini proved to be the stronger side on the day, and the match ended in a 6–1 defeat.
Later in the afternoon, the Open Boys team took on Malunge High School at the TB Centre Sports Ground in Matsapha at 2:00 pm. The field was muddy, and there were few spectators due to the rainy conditions.
During the first half, rain continued to fall throughout, making ball control difficult for both teams. Malunge High managed to score in the first quarter, putting pressure on our team as they took an early lead.
In the second half, the rain stopped and the coach made several strategic substitutions which helped energize the team. The changes brought renewed intensity, and the boys responded with stronger attacking play and improved coordination across the field. The team pushed hard in search of an equalizer and showed great determination despite the difficult conditions.
The standout players of the match were Mandisa, Bayanda, Mhlonishwa, Nathi and Edward Ido, all of whom delivered impressive performances and played key roles in maintaining the team’s competitiveness.
Although the match ended in a 1–0 loss, the team delivered an outstanding and spirited performance, showing great resilience and determination. Their effort and hunger to compete were clear throughout the entire game as they continued to fight until the final whistle.
