Celebrating Excellence: Ngwenya Mayibongwe – Form 5 Top Achiever of 2025

Our school proudly celebrates the outstanding academic achievement of Ngwenya Mayibongwe Ngcebo, a dedicated Hillside High School student and the best-performing Form 5 student of the 2025 academic year.
Demonstrating remarkable dedication, discipline, and resilience, Mayibongwe achieved an impressive total of 8 credits, including 3 A* grades, 4 A grades, and 1 B grade. This exceptional performance reflects not only his intellectual ability but also his consistent hard work and commitment to excellence throughout the year.
In recognition of his outstanding results, Mayibongwe was awarded an HP laptop on the 1st of April during the school’s morning assembly. This award forms part of the school’s initiative to recognise and reward excellence, where any Form 5 student who attains 45 points, with 3 or more A* grades and at least 4 A grades, qualifies for this prestigious incentive.
During the assembly, Mayibongwe also took a moment to share a few words of encouragement with the entire school. He motivated fellow students to remain focused, disciplined, and determined in their academic journeys, emphasizing that success is achievable through consistent effort and self-belief.
Mayibongwe’s success serves as an inspiration to fellow students, proving that determination and focus can lead to extraordinary results. His achievement is a testament to the supportive learning environment provided by our teachers, as well as the importance of perseverance in overcoming academic challenges.
